'Slay Your Monsters'
To open 2022, we wanted to create a piece about empowerment. The past 2 pandemic years have been punishing for everyone, to say the least, and it's time to stop getting pushed around and take the bull by its horns. We wanted to make something that would encourage individuals to stop running, turn around and stare their fears down.
Monster crest
We were inspired by depictions of creatures in English heraldry and bestiary depictions of mythological monsters, and opted to create a multi-headed monster in this style. The addition of the warrior knight was important in order to create a sense of scale in the composition, and to symbolize how massive the obstacle the fear that needs to be overcome.
