The wRap is Rappler's main evening newscast. It has a bulleted news item format that deliver quick bursts of information for each of the headlines. We were asked to revamp the on-air look of the show last year, from the opener down to the screen templates.
We also made the on-air templates as 'aware' as possible of the whole page's real estate. Some of the elements, like the mood meter prompt, are positioned to direct the viewers' eyes to components placed beside the video itself.
Here's the opener again. We obviously drew on a lot of the might of GSG's city kit to create the opening sequence. :)
